Tutorial 6 Adobe Photoshop CS 3 Tools – Part III (Painting Tools)

We have already learned some tools used in Adobe Photoshop CS 3, now it’s time to learn some more tools: the painting tools.

Painting tools

The brush tool paints brush strokes. Right click the Brush tool button to choose the brush tool. Then click on the working area and draw. To choose the color, look on the right hand side of the screen in the colors palette, and click on the color of your choice (see fig 1)

The pencil tool paints hard-edged strokes. Right click the same button from which you chose the brush tool and now choose the pencil tool.

The color replacement tool replaces a selected color with a new color. Right click the same button as above and choose color replacement tool.

The history brush tool pants the copy of a selected state or snapshot into the current image window, while the art brush tool paints with stylized strokes that stimulate the look of different paint styles, using a selected state or snapshot.

The gradient tool create radial, angled, reflected, straight-lined, and diamond blends between the colors.

Right click the same button as above to choose the paint bucket tool. It fills similarly colored areas with the foreground color.
