Gothic 3 needs at least the following system requirements to run: 2 Ghz processor, 512 MB RAM and a graphic card of 128 MB. I've installed the game on a computer running Windows XP SP 1 (but I have the latest Windows Installer), Intel 3.06 Ghz processor, 1024 MB DDR2 , GeForce 6200 with 256 MB DDR2 graphic card.
Gothic 3 continues the adventures from Gothic 2 but it's very easy to understand even for new-comers. The early quests, such as "Talk to the rebel leader" or "Kill pack of aggressive wild boars" might seem easy at first, but they become harder and harder.
Gothic 3 is five times as big as Gothic 2 and much harder. But sure is worth some of your free time.
The story is simple: you have just returned from an adventure in Khorinis (for those who played Gothic 2 you should remember the dragons and the trip back home) to find your hometown of Myrtana conquered by Orcs. Now you have a choice: either help the rebels to liberate the town or team up with the mercenaries and enjoy some power (you can do both for a while and see what happens, just don't let anyone you sided with both).
You can choose to specialize as a warrior, hunter or magician. As you play, you'll realize you have to become all of them because you will need all those skills and the action will actually guide your choices.
While playing, you'll realize that it's easier to kill a man (bandit for example) than to kill a wolf or a wild boar. The character deals rather lousy with groups but in time you'll learn some tactics to avoid being kill after the first hit.
Here are a couple of print screens I've taken in about 5 hours of playing.
